# Airline On-Time Performance API – US Flight Delays and Cancellations

Every scheduled US domestic flight by the reporting airlines since 2018 with scheduled and actual times, delays by cause, cancellations and diversions, plus on-time rates by carrier, airport, route, flight or month, from BTS.

## What it returns

Every scheduled US domestic flight operated by the reporting airlines since January 2018: date, carrier, flight number, tail number, origin and destination, scheduled and actual departure and arrival, departure and arrival delay, taxi times, cancellation and its reason, diversion, scheduled, actual and air minutes, distance, and minutes of delay by cause (carrier, weather, national air system, security, late aircraft).

Filter by carrier, airport, route, flight number, tail number, date range, minimum delay or cancellations. Or group to get flights, on-time percentage, cancellation rate and average and 90th percentile arrival delay by carrier, airport, route, flight, month, date, hour of day or aircraft.

Source: the Bureau of Transportation Statistics Reporting Carrier On-Time Performance files, added monthly about two months after each month ends.

Charged per flight or group returned.

## Request

`POST https://api.pushbuild.com/airline-on-time-performance/run` with a JSON body. Send your key in the `X-API-Key` header.

| `dateTo` | string | YYYY-MM-DD. |
| `minArrivalDelay` | integer | Only flights at least this many minutes late. |
| `cancelledOnly` | boolean | Only cancelled flights. |
| `sort` | string: newest, mostDelayed | newest (default) or mostDelayed. |
| `groupBy` | string: carrier, origin, dest, route, flight, month, date, hour, tailNumber | Statistics (flights, on-time %, cancellations, average and 90th percentile delay) by carrier, origin, dest, route, flight, month, date, hour or tailNumber. |
| `maxItems` | integer | Maximum items to return (1-500). Default: `100`. |

Each call returns up to 500 items. Records that fail validation or are not found are flagged in the items and not charged.
