# What were the busiest US domestic air routes in 2025?

**New York JFK–Los Angeles was the busiest US domestic route in 2025, with 2,912,963 passengers, followed by LaGuardia–Chicago O'Hare (2,769,621) and LAX–San Francisco (2,710,497).****US domestic passengers reached 848.6 million in 2025, 3.3% above 2019's 821.1 million. Yet New York JFK–Los Angeles carried 21.6% fewer, LAX–San Francisco 23.3% fewer and Las Vegas–LAX 23.0% fewer.** Of the ten busiest routes, only Denver–Phoenix grew.
