# Child Care Providers API – Licensed Daycare Centers and Homes in 9 States

Search 74,000 licensed child care centers, family child care homes and school-age programs from ten state licensing agencies: name, type, status, city, county, ZIP, licensed capacity, ages, license dates, quality rating and (Texas, Connecticut, Delaware) inspections and violations.

## What it returns

Licensed child care providers from ten state licensing agencies, in one schema: provider id, name, type (center, family or group home, school-age program), status, city, county, ZIP, licensed capacity, ages served, license issue and expiry dates, quality rating, subsidy participation and, for Texas, inspections and violations found in the last three years.

Refreshed weekly. Street addresses, phone numbers, emails and contact names are not included, and home-based providers carry no coordinates, so `latitude`/`longitude` searches return centers only.

| `withViolationsOnly` | boolean | Texas and Delaware providers with a violation or citation in the last 3 years. |
| `latitude` | number | Find centers near this point (with longitude). Home-based providers carry no coordinates. |
| `longitude` | number | Find centers near this point (with latitude). |
| `radiusKm` | number | Search radius around the point. Default: `5`. |
| `sort` | string: name, largest, violations | By state, city and name (default), largest capacity or most violations; nearest first with a point. Default: `"name"`. |
| `groupBy` | string: state, city, county, zip, providerType, qualityRating | Return provider and seat counts per group. |
| `maxItems` | integer | Maximum items to return (1-500). Default: `100`. |

Each call returns up to 500 items. Records that fail validation or are not found are flagged in the items and not charged.
