## What it returns

Hearings, markups and business meetings of US House, Senate and joint committees, from January 2023 on, in one schema: chamber, committee, subcommittee, date, time (Eastern, with offset), room, status, title, bills considered, witnesses with their affiliations and statements, documents, and for the Senate what the committee did.

Refreshed daily. Bills use the same ids as the US Congress Legislation Tracker (`hr1031-119`), so a meeting can be joined to the bill's status. The Senate's own schedule feed refuses automated requests, so Senate meetings appear once the Record prints them, usually the day before.

| `regex` | boolean | Treat Keywords as a regular expression. Default: `false`. |

| `committee` | string | Committee or subcommittee name contains this text, e.g. Energy and Commerce, Health, Finance. |
| `witness` | string | Witness name or affiliation contains this text (House meetings). |
| `bills` | list of strings | Bills considered, e.g. H.R. 1031, S. 456, hr1031-119. |
| `meetingTypes` | list of strings | Hearing, Markup, Meeting, Business meeting, Briefing. |
| `statuses` | list of strings | Scheduled, Postponed, Cancelled, Rescheduled, Held, Held or not reported. |
| `upcomingOnly` | boolean | Only meetings today or later, soonest first. Default: `false`. |
| `dateFrom` | string | YYYY-MM-DD. |
| `dateTo` | string | YYYY-MM-DD. |
| `updatedSince` | string | Meetings published or changed since this date or timestamp (YYYY-MM-DD or YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS, Eastern), to pick up reschedulings and new documents. |

| `sort` | string: newest, soonest, updated | newest (default), soonest, updated. |
| `groupBy` | string: committee, subcommittee, chamber, meetingType, month | Count meetings by committee, subcommittee, chamber, meetingType or month instead of listing them. |
| `dataset` | string: meetings, sources | meetings (default) or sources: each source's last refresh, row count and newest item. |
| `maxItems` | integer | Maximum items to return (1-500). Default: `100`. |

Each call returns up to 500 items. Records that fail validation or are not found are flagged in the items and not charged.
