## What it returns

Service Difficulty Reports filed with the FAA: mechanical failures, malfunctions and defects that airlines, operators and repair stations found in aircraft, engines, propellers and parts. Each report has the difficulty and submission dates, operator, tail number, aircraft make and model with total hours and cycles, engine and propeller, the part and component (name, maker, part number, condition, location, hours and cycles), the JASC code and aircraft system, the nature of the condition, precautionary procedure, stage of operation, how it was found, crack and corrosion details, and the written description of the discrepancy.

Search by aircraft, engine, part name or number, condition, system, JASC code, operator, tail number, words in the description or date range. Or group to count reports and aircraft by model, maker, operator, system, part, engine, month or year, for reliability, maintenance and parts analysis.

Source: the FAA Service Difficulty Reporting System public query. Reports appear after FAA approval; the latest weeks are refreshed daily. Coverage starts in September 2025 and extends further back each day until it reaches 2010.

Charged per report or group returned.
