## What it returns

Every federal rule in the pipeline, one row per Regulation Identifier Number (RIN), joining three official sources:

| Source | What it adds |
| --- | --- |
| Unified Agenda of Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions (reginfo.gov, each spring and fall edition since 2023) | agency, department, title, abstract, stage, priority, major, projected timetable (next action and month), CFR parts, legal authority and statutory deadlines, the edition that first listed it |
| OIRA review under Executive Order 12866 (reginfo.gov) | every White House review: received and concluded dates, decision, stage reviewed, economically significant |
| Federal Register (federalregister.gov) | proposed and final rules carrying the RIN: document number, date, comment close date, effective date, docket ids, link |

About 8,000 RINs. Refreshed weekly. The Federal Register document numbers match the Federal Register API, so a public-inspection copy, its published document and the rule's agenda entry can be joined.

## Request

| `query` | string | Words that must all appear in the title, abstract, CFR parts or legal authority. With Regex on, a regular expression (case-insensitive). |
| `regex` | boolean | Treat Keywords as a regular expression. Default: `false`. |
| `rins` | list of strings | Regulation Identifier Numbers, e.g. 0938-AV89. |
| `agency` | string | Agency or department name or acronym contains this text, e.g. CMS, FDA, HHS, EPA. |
| `cfr` | string | CFR citation contains this text, e.g. 42 CFR 493. |
| `stages` | list of strings | Prerule, Proposed Rule, Final Rule, Long-Term Actions, Completed Actions. |
| `priorities` | list of strings | Economically Significant, Other Significant, Substantive, Routine and Frequent, Info./Admin./Other. |
| `underReview` | boolean | Only rules at the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs now. Default: `false`. |
| `openForComment` | boolean | Only rules with a Federal Register comment period still open. Default: `false`. |
| `economicallySignificant` | boolean | Economically significant or major rules. Default: `false`. |
| `currentAgendaOnly` | boolean | Only RINs listed in the latest Unified Agenda. Default: `false`. |
| `nextActionFrom` | string | Projected next action date from, YYYY-MM. |
| `nextActionTo` | string | Projected next action date to, YYYY-MM. |
| `updatedSince` | string | Rules with an agenda edition, OIRA event or Federal Register document on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD). |
| `sort` | string: updated, nextAction, commentsClose, oiraReceived | updated (default), nextAction, commentsClose, oiraReceived. |
| `groupBy` | string: department, agency, stage, priority, oiraStatus, nextActionMonth | Count rules by department, agency, stage, priority, oiraStatus or nextActionMonth. |
| `dataset` | string: rules, sources | rules (default) or sources: last refresh, agenda edition and counts. |
| `maxItems` | integer | Maximum items to return (1-500). Default: `100`. |

Each call returns up to 500 items. Records that fail validation or are not found are flagged in the items and not charged.

## Pricing
