# Activepieces flow failure alerts: how they work

## At a glance

**What an alert does**When a production run fails, Activepieces emails the project's alert receivers.

**Who gets them**Alerts are managed in the project's settings.

**Editions**Activepieces' own notes list failure alerts as Cloud and Enterprise only.

## What an alert does

- When a production run fails, Activepieces emails the project's alert receivers.
- It sends one email for the first failure of a flow version in a 24-hour window. Later failures of that version in the same window are not emailed.
- The email links straight to the failed run.

## Who gets them

- Alerts are managed in the project's settings.
- In a personal project the only receiver is the owner, with one on/off switch.
- In a team project, admins can add any number of receiver emails.

## Editions

- Activepieces' own notes list failure alerts as Cloud and Enterprise only.
- Event Streaming is an Enterprise feature. It can send flow run events, failed runs included, to an OpenTelemetry tool or to a webhook, and it can generate a handler flow for them.

## Questions people ask first

**Will I get an email for every failed run?**

No. Only the first failure of a flow version in each 24-hour window is emailed.

**Can a team project send alerts to a shared inbox?**

Yes. Admins can add any email address as a receiver.
