Pushbuild

The numbers you check every morning, on one screen.

We build dashboards and scheduled reports that pull from the tools you already use, such as your CRM, accounting, e-commerce and field-service systems, and show the handful of numbers that matter, refreshed without anyone copying data.

You know what you're getting before work begins.

Sound familiar?

What we hear from businesses before a project like this starts.

  • Every Monday someone builds the weekly numbers by hand from four different exports.
  • We have a dashboard, but nobody trusts the figures on it.
  • Our field-service system has the data, but the built-in reports don't answer our questions.
  • The owner wants one page showing cash, sales and jobs, not twelve reports.
  • Our analytics setup is broken and the numbers don't match the orders.

What buyers usually need

The requests that come up most often for this kind of work, and what each one takes to work properly.

01

Automated daily and weekly performance reports

Jobs, revenue and conversion pulled from your systems and sent as a report or shown on a dashboard.

02

A finance dashboard

Cash, receivables, payables and margin from QuickBooks or Xero on one page.

03

A KPI dashboard in Google Sheets or Looker Studio

The figures your team already understands, refreshed automatically and shared by link.

04

Power BI on top of SQL Server or Excel

A model built properly, with measures defined once and reports that load quickly.

05

A custom web dashboard on an existing backend

A fast, simple front end for data you already store, with logins for your team.

06

An audit of an existing dashboard

Every number checked back to its source, with the mismatches explained and corrected.

Tools that come up most: Looker Studio, Power BI, Google Sheets, Excel, SQL Server, Postgres, QuickBooks, Xero, Jobber, Shopify, GA4, React, Next.js.

What you get

Concrete pieces, each one something you can open and check when it's done.

Example projects

Operations dashboard for a multi-location physical therapy group

Operations dashboard for a multi-location physical therapy group

Clearwater Physical Therapy runs six clinics, and the owners were building a monthly report by exporting spreadsheets from three systems. We built a dashboard that pulls scheduling, billing and staffing data every night and shows visits, revenue, no-shows, provider utilization and new patients by clinic and provider. Filters cover date range, clinic and provider, and a one-click PDF goes to the partners each month. Only aggregate numbers are shown; no patient details leave the source systems.

  • Nightly data pipeline from scheduling, billing and payroll exports into one database
  • KPI dashboard with period-over-period comparisons
  • Revenue trend, visits by clinic, and a per-clinic league table
  • Filters by date, clinic and provider; monthly PDF report by email

Python, dbt, PostgreSQL, React + Recharts, scheduled PDF export, Docker

Sales dashboard from a CSV export

A script turns a 12-month order-line CSV into a single self-contained interactive dashboard: KPI tiles with change against the prior month, a monthly revenue trend, revenue by region and by channel, and a top-products table.

Python, pandas, Plotly.js, HTML/CSS

How we approach it

The habits that keep this kind of project from going wrong.

1

Start from the decisions

We ask what you decide with each number. Anything that doesn't change a decision stays off the main page.

2

Define each number once

Every metric has a written definition, so the dashboard and the report never disagree.

3

Check against the source

Before handover, each figure is reconciled with the system it comes from for a sample period.

4

Use what you already pay for

If Looker Studio, Sheets or your existing Power BI licence will do, we use it rather than adding a new subscription.

How we work

You describe it. We write it down, build it, and hand it over.

  1. You describe it

Tell us what you need in your own words, and which tools you already use. A few lines is plenty to start.

  2. A written scope

We reply with a short written scope: what gets built, what is out of scope, which accounts we need, and how we'll both know it works. You know what you're getting before work begins.

  3. Milestones you review

The work is split into milestones. At each one you see it working in your own account and sign it off before we go on.

  4. Handover and a 30-day fix window

You get the working system, its documentation and a walkthrough. If anything we built breaks in the next 30 days, we fix it at no charge.

What shapes the scope

  • How many data sources
  • Whether the sources have usable APIs or only exports
  • Off-the-shelf tool or a custom web dashboard
  • How much history is loaded

Always included

  • A written scope before work starts
  • Milestones you review and sign off
  • Documentation and a walkthrough at handover
  • A 30-day window for fixes, at no charge

Pushbuild has built software for businesses since 2010, for more than 40 clients. Every project is led by a former public-company CTO, from Groton, Massachusetts. See products we've built.

Questions people ask first

Which tool should we use?

Usually the one you already have. We recommend in the scope, with the reason, and tell you any licence cost before you agree.

What access do you need?

Read-only access to each data source, approved through its own sign-in screen where possible, and access to the dashboard tool.

Who owns the dashboard?

You do. It is built in your account, and any code is in a repository you own.

Can you fix our existing dashboard instead?

Yes. An audit and repair is often the faster route.

How long does it take?

Most dashboards take one to three weeks from the signed scope, depending on the number of sources.

What happens if a source changes?

In the 30 days after handover we fix anything we built at no charge. After that, we scope any further work with you first, so there are no surprises.

Tell us what you need built.

Email a few lines about what you want and which tools you use, or call. We reply with questions or a written scope.
