Pushbuild

Stripe that matches your books and your customer list.

We integrate Stripe Checkout, Billing and webhooks into your site or app, and connect what happens in Stripe to the rest of the business: access granted or removed, invoices in QuickBooks or Xero, customers in the CRM. Built in your own Stripe account, tested in test mode first.

Sound familiar?

What we hear from businesses before a project like this starts.

  • Payments come in through Stripe but someone matches them to orders or accounts by hand.
  • Failed renewals don't cut off access, or cut it off when they shouldn't.
  • Our accountant can't reconcile Stripe payouts against QuickBooks.
  • We need subscriptions, trials or usage pricing and our site only does one-off payments.
  • Webhooks fail now and then and nobody notices.

What buyers usually need

The requests that come up most often for this kind of work, and what each one takes to work properly.

01

Checkout and subscriptions

Stripe Checkout or Payment Links for one-off, subscription, trial and usage-based billing.

02

Webhooks done properly

Signed, idempotent webhook handling with retries and a log of every event.

03

Access that follows payment

Accounts, roles or content unlocked and locked from subscription status.

04

Books that reconcile

Payments, fees, refunds and payouts posted to QuickBooks or Xero so payouts match.

05

A customer portal

Customers update cards, switch plans and download invoices without emailing you.

Tools that come up most: Stripe Checkout, Billing, Customer Portal, Connect, webhooks and the Stripe API, QuickBooks Online, Xero, HubSpot, Supabase, PostgreSQL and Zapier.

What you get

Concrete pieces, each one something you can open and check when it's done.

How we approach it

The habits that keep this kind of project from going wrong.

1

Test mode first

Every path, including failed cards, refunds and cancellations, is run in test mode before going live.

2

Idempotent by default

Webhooks can arrive twice or late; handlers are written so that never double-charges or double-grants.

3

Your account

Everything lives in your Stripe account with restricted keys we hand back at the end.

How we work

A written scope first, then working progress you can check, then a proper handover.

  1. You describe it

Tell us what you need in your own words, and which tools you already use. A few lines is plenty to start.

  2. A written scope

We reply with a short written scope: what gets built, what is out of scope, which accounts we need, and how we'll both know it works. You know what you're getting before work begins.

  3. Milestones you review

The work is split into milestones. At each one you see it working in your own account and sign it off before we go on.

  4. Handover and a 30-day fix window

You get the working system, its documentation and a walkthrough. If anything we built breaks in the next 30 days, we fix it at no charge.

What shapes the scope

  • One-off, subscription or usage billing
  • Where access or orders live
  • Accounting system and mapping
  • Existing payment data to migrate

Always included

  • A written scope before work starts
  • Milestones you review and sign off
  • Documentation and a walkthrough at handover
  • A 30-day window for fixes, at no charge

Pushbuild has built software for businesses since 2010, for more than 40 clients. Every project is led by a former public-company CTO, from Groton, Massachusetts. See products we've built.

Questions people ask first

Do you need our Stripe login?

No. A restricted API key or a team invite with the permissions the scope needs, removed at handover.

Can you move our existing subscribers?

Yes, within what Stripe supports. We plan the move with you so nobody is double-billed or loses access.

Will this work with our bookkeeper's setup?

We agree the account mapping with your bookkeeper before building the sync.

What happens after handover?

For 30 days we fix anything we built that doesn't work as scoped, at no charge.

Tell us what you need built.

Email a few lines about what you want and which tools you use, or call. We reply with questions or a written scope.
