Pushbuild

Product pages AI shopping tools can read.

Shoppers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers what to buy, and those tools pick from products whose pages state the facts clearly. We add the product structured data, fill in the missing attributes and write FAQ answers with FAQPage markup, across your Shopify or WooCommerce catalogue, on a copy first.

Sound familiar?

What we hear from businesses before a project like this starts.

  • We see visits from ChatGPT in our analytics, but our products never come up when we ask it ourselves.
  • The theme's product markup has the name and price and nothing else.
  • Half our products have no barcode or part number filled in.
  • Shoppers keep emailing questions the product page should already answer.
  • A review app shows stars on the page, but they never appear in search results.
  • We changed themes and nobody checked what happened to the structured data.

What buyers usually need

The requests that come up most often for this kind of work, and what each one takes to work properly.

01

Complete product markup

Product, Offer, price, currency, stock status, brand, SKU and images in JSON-LD on every product page, variants included.

02

GTIN and MPN codes

Barcodes and part numbers gathered from your supplier sheets and filled in, so tools can match your product to the shopper's search.

03

Ratings in the markup

Your review app's ratings carried into AggregateRating, so the stars shoppers see are also the ones tools read.

04

Attributes filled in

Colour, size, material, category, shipping and return details stated on the page and in the markup, in your catalogue's own words.

05

FAQ answers on product pages

Short questions and answers on sizing, care, shipping and returns, marked up as FAQPage.

06

A crawler check

robots.txt and the store's settings checked so the AI crawlers you want are allowed in.

Tools that come up most: Shopify, WooCommerce, Liquid, metafields, JSON-LD, schema.org Product and FAQPage, Google Merchant Center, Google Rich Results Test, Judge.me, Yotpo, Okendo, WooCommerce product attributes.

What you get

How we approach it

The habits that keep this kind of project from going wrong.

1

Measure first

We start from the same check the free tool runs, across the whole catalogue, and finish with it, so you see what changed.

2

Your words, your facts

Attributes and answers come from your product data, supplier sheets and policies. Nothing is stated that your store doesn't already say.

3

Work on a copy

Theme changes are made on a duplicate theme or a staging site and published when you approve them.

4

Built in, not pasted on

Markup is generated from your product data, so new products and price changes stay correct without anyone editing code.

How we work

A written scope first, then working progress you can check, then a proper handover.

  1. You describe it

Tell us what you need in your own words, and which tools you already use. A few lines is plenty to start.

  2. A written scope

We reply with a short written scope: what gets built, what is out of scope, which accounts we need, and how we'll both know it works. You know what you're getting before work begins.

  3. Milestones you review

The work is split into milestones. At each one you see it working in your own account and sign it off before we go on.

  4. Handover and a 30-day fix window

You get the working system, its documentation and a walkthrough. If anything we built breaks in the next 30 days, we fix it at no charge.

What shapes the scope

  • How many products and variants
  • Whether GTINs and attributes exist somewhere already
  • Which review app and theme you use
  • Whether you want FAQ answers on every product or on product types

Always included

  • A written scope before work starts
  • Milestones you review and sign off
  • Documentation and a walkthrough at handover
  • A 30-day window for fixes, at no charge

Pushbuild has built software for businesses since 2010, for more than 40 clients. Every project is led by a former public-company CTO, from Groton, Massachusetts. See example builds.

Questions people ask first

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my products?

No one can. What we can do is make sure every product page states the facts these tools look for, in the format they read, and show you the before and after.

Is this the same as SEO?

It overlaps. Structured data and complete product facts help Google's own results too, but the focus here is what AI shopping tools read from each product page.

Do you need my store password?

No. On Shopify we send a collaborator request and you choose the permissions. On WooCommerce we work from a staging copy or a user account you create and remove afterwards.

Will this change how my product pages look?

Mostly not. Markup is invisible to shoppers. FAQ blocks and added attributes are visible, and you approve them before they go live.

What if I don't have barcodes for my products?

Products you make yourself often have none, and that's fine. We use your SKU and brand, and the MPN where one exists, and tell you where a GTIN would help.

What happens after handover?

For 30 days we repair anything we built that does not work as the scope describes, at no charge. Monthly upkeep is available after that if you want it.

Do it once, we automate it. Show us the job one time and it runs on its own after that, in the tools you already use. Not sure where to start? Start with an Automation Audit.

Tell us what you need built.

Email a few lines about what you want and which tools you use, or call. We reply with questions or a written scope.
