What it returns
The Directory of Open Access Journals indexes 22,000+ quality-checked, peer-reviewed open access journals. Journal metadata is CC0.
DOAJ ID, title, print and electronic ISSN, publisher, country, institution, subjects, keywords, languages, licences, whether it charges an article processing charge and the maximum APC in each currency, other charges, waivers, review process, weeks to publication, open access start year, copyright, preservation, persistent ID schemes, deposit policy, discontinued and replacement journal, homepage and DOAJ page, and dates added, updated and last fully reviewed.
Common uses
Choosing where to publish by fee and licence, checking whether a journal is genuinely open access before submitting, library and funder compliance checks, research on APC pricing by field and country, and journal pickers in research software.
