What it returns
One search across the national government data catalogs of the UK (data.gov.uk), Canada (open.canada.ca), Australia (data.gov.au) and Ireland (data.gov.ie), plus the UN Humanitarian Data Exchange: hundreds of thousands of datasets, all published through the CKAN catalog API.
Catalog, dataset ID and slug, title, plain-text description, publisher, licence and licence URL, whether it is open, tags, groups, update frequency, created and modified dates, resource count, the set of file formats, and each resource's name, format, download URL, modified date and size, plus the dataset page.
Common uses
Finding official datasets by topic across countries, watching a ministry or council for new and updated data, building data catalogs and search tools, sourcing CSV and GeoJSON files for analysis, and checking a dataset's licence before reuse.
