What it returns
Zenodo, run by CERN, holds 4 million+ research outputs: datasets, software releases, papers, posters, presentations and more, each with a DOI. Record metadata is CC0.
Record ID, DOI and concept DOI (all versions), title, type and subtype, publication date, version, plain-text description, creators and affiliations, keywords, subjects, language, licence, access right, communities, grants, journal, number of related identifiers, unique views and downloads (this version and all versions), file count, total size, and each file's name, size, checksum and download link, plus created and updated times and the record page.
Common uses
Finding reusable research datasets and code by topic, tracking a lab's or project's outputs through its community, measuring downloads of released software, building data catalogs and literature tools, and checking a DOI's licence and files before reuse.
