Pushbuild

Groove privacy policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026. Groove is a browser extension made by Pushbuild LLC, Massachusetts, USA.

The short version

Groove keeps what it records on your computer. It does not send your browsing, recordings, grooves or results to Pushbuild or anyone else. It never records passwords or card numbers.

What Groove records, and why

Groove's single purpose is to record the work you do in your browser so you can see what you repeat and automate it. To do that, on the sites you allow, it records:

  • the pages you visit and the time you visit them;
  • what you click, type and choose on those pages, with private values masked (see below);
  • the structure of the page around those actions, so a groove can find the same button again;
  • the addresses and timing of the page's network requests, never their contents.

You can pause recording, switch it off for any site, choose how many days it keeps (1 to 30), or delete everything it has recorded.

What is masked or never recorded

  • Passwords and payment card numbers are never recorded.
  • Bank, account and ID numbers, one-time codes, API keys and tokens are masked on your computer before they are stored. Email addresses and phone numbers are masked too, unless you turn that off.
  • Groove takes no screenshots.

Where your data is kept

Everything Groove records, and every groove and result, is stored in your browser's own storage on your computer. Removing the extension deletes it.

When data leaves your computer

Only when you choose to:

  • Export. You can download a recording or a groove as a file and give it to anyone you choose, such as an AI agent. Exports contain masked data only, and a groove export never contains its results, past values or secret settings.
  • Connect an agent. If you turn on "Connect an agent", Groove opens a connection to Pushbuild's relay at groove.pushbuild.com so an AI agent you choose can talk to your browser. The relay passes messages through and stores none of them. Agents see masked data only. Turn the connection off, or make a new link, to disconnect every agent at once.

What we do not do

We do not sell or share data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Groove has no analytics or tracking.

Permissions

Groove asks for access to the sites you visit (to record and run grooves); tabs and navigation (to follow your work across tabs); scripting (to run groove steps); storage (to keep recordings on your computer); alarms (to run scheduled grooves); notifications (for groove alerts); and downloads (to save exports).

Children

Groove is not directed at children under 13.
