Pushbuild

Gusto QuickBooks integration that puts payroll where your reports need it.

Gusto's own connection posts payroll to QuickBooks Online, often as one lump. When you need wages split by job, class, location or department, a custom setup posts each pay run the way your reports need it and checks the total against the bank. Every run is logged, and a record that cannot sync is sent to you with the reason. We write down the scope and agree it with you before we start.

Sound familiar?

What Businesses running payroll in Gusto with books in QuickBooks tell us before a project starts.

  • Payroll arrives in QuickBooks as one line and job costs are wrong.
  • Wages need to be split by location or department.
  • Hours come from a time app and never reach job costing.
  • Reimbursements and benefits land in the wrong accounts.
  • The accountant fixes payroll entries by hand every month.

Each one is a working piece you can open and check when it's done.

Questions people ask first

Doesn't Gusto already connect to QuickBooks?

Yes, and for many businesses it is enough. We build around it when you need splits by job, class or location that it cannot make.

Will it change our existing data?

Only in the ways agreed. Everything is tested on a copy or a sandbox first, and we keep a log of every change.

Can it use our time-tracking app?

Usually, if the app has an API or exports a file.
