Aren't there Shopify apps for this?
Several export apps cover basic order exports. We build around them when you need two-way updates, custom columns, several locations or a check before anything changes in the store.
Will updates from the sheet break anything?
Each change is checked first, and only the columns agreed are read. Every change is logged so it can be reversed.
Can it include older orders?
Yes. We can load your order history once, then keep it up to date.
