Pushbuild

A custom website your team can actually update.

For businesses that have outgrown a template site builder. We build custom websites on WordPress or in code for businesses that have outgrown a template site builder. Pages load fast, work on phones, and your team can change the words and photos without calling a developer. The site, the hosting and the domain are in your name.

Sound familiar?

What we hear from businesses before a project like this starts.

  • Our site builder template looks like everyone else's.
  • We can't change a word on our site without paying someone.
  • The site is slow on phones and we're losing enquiries.
  • Our WordPress site has thirty plugins and breaks every update.
  • The web designer who built our site isn't answering.
  • We need forms, bookings or a client area our current site can't do.

How we work

You know what you're getting before work begins, and you see it working at every milestone.

  1. You describe it

Tell us what you need in your own words, and which tools you already use. A few lines is plenty to start.

  2. A written scope

We reply with a short written scope: what gets built, what is out of scope, which accounts we need, and how we'll both know it works. You know what you're getting before work begins.

  3. Milestones you review

The work is split into milestones. At each one you see it working in your own account and sign it off before we go on.

  4. Handover and a 30-day fix window

You get the working system, its documentation and a walkthrough. If anything we built breaks in the next 30 days, we fix it at no charge.

What shapes the scope

  • Number of pages
  • WordPress or custom code
  • Forms, bookings or payments
  • Content to move from an old site

Always included

  • A written scope before work starts
  • Milestones you review and sign off
  • Documentation and a walkthrough at handover
  • A 30-day window for fixes, at no charge

Pushbuild has built software for businesses since 2010, for more than 40 clients. Every project is led by a former public-company CTO, based in Massachusetts. See example builds.

Questions people ask first

WordPress or custom code?

WordPress suits most small business sites because your team can edit it. Custom code makes sense for sites with app-like features or strict speed needs.

Can we edit the site ourselves?

Yes. Pages are built so text and photos can be changed in the editor, and you get a short guide.

Will we lose our search rankings?

We map old pages to new ones and set up redirects, so links and search traffic follow.

Can you take over our existing WordPress site?

Yes. We recover access, back it up, and update it on a copy before touching the live site.

What happens after handover?

For 30 days we repair anything we built that does not work as the scope describes, at no charge. After that, further work is scoped the same way and agreed with you before we start.

Do it once, we automate it. Show us the job one time and it runs on its own after that, in the tools you already use. Not sure where to start? Start with an Automation Audit.

Tell us what you need built.

Email a few lines about what you want and which tools you use, or call. We reply with questions or a written scope.
