Activepieces flow failure alerts: how they work

Activepieces can email you when a flow run fails. Alerts are set per project, and Activepieces describes them as a Cloud and Enterprise feature.

At a glance

  1. What an alert doesWhen a production run fails, Activepieces emails the project's alert receivers.
  2. Who gets themAlerts are managed in the project's settings.
  3. EditionsActivepieces' own notes list failure alerts as Cloud and Enterprise only.

What an alert does

  • When a production run fails, Activepieces emails the project's alert receivers.
  • It sends one email for the first failure of a flow version in a 24-hour window. Later failures of that version in the same window are not emailed.
  • The email links straight to the failed run.

Who gets them

  • Alerts are managed in the project's settings.
  • In a personal project the only receiver is the owner, with one on/off switch.
  • In a team project, admins can add any number of receiver emails.

Editions

  • Activepieces' own notes list failure alerts as Cloud and Enterprise only.
  • Event Streaming is an Enterprise feature. It can send flow run events, failed runs included, to an OpenTelemetry tool or to a webhook, and it can generate a handler flow for them.

Questions people ask first

Will I get an email for every failed run?

Can a team project send alerts to a shared inbox?

Yes. Admins can add any email address as a receiver.
