Example request

POST /patents-by-ticker/run
{
  "ticker": "NVDA",
  "maxItems": 20
}

What it returns

Patent grant pace for US-listed companies, by ticker. For each ticker: US patent grants per calendar year (10 years by default, up to 25), grants in the last 12 months against the 12 months before with the percentage change, the newest grants with title, assignees, CPC classes and PDF link, and the company's largest institutional holders from the newest SEC Form 13F data set (number of managers, total value and shares reported).

Patents are counted live from the USPTO Open Data Portal under the company's current name and any former name still in use during the window, as applicant or as assignee in recorded assignments. By default the base name is searched (Microsoft, not Microsoft Corp), which also counts subsidiaries such as Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC; exactNames restricts the search to full legal names, and extraNames adds others (Google for GOOGL). Every result lists the names it searched.
