What it returns
Official statistics from the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (FSO / BFS / OFS), read from its STAT-TAB PxWeb API. Pull Switzerland's resident population, the quarterly count of jobs, and monthly hotel arrivals and overnight stays, search the titles of all 640+ STAT-TAB tables, or read any table with your own filters by canton, sector, nationality and more. Periods come back in ISO form. No key needed.

filters | string | Variable code -> value codes, e.g. {"Kanton": ["1"], "Indikator": ["2"]}. ["*"] selects all values. Variables left out use the table total where it has one, else their first value. |
lastN | integer | How many of the latest periods (years or quarters; monthly tables return every month in them). Default: 2. |
fromPeriod | string | First period as labelled, e.g. 2020 or 2020Q1. Overrides Latest periods. |
toPeriod | string | Last period in ISO form, e.g. 2026-06 or 2026Q2. |
search | string | Words in the table title (English for about a quarter of tables, German for the rest: Bevölkerung, Logiernächte, Löhne). Returns table ids instead of data. |
maxItems | integer | Maximum items to return (1-500). Default: 100. |
