What it returns
Federal lobbying disclosures from the official Lobbying Disclosure Act database at lda.gov (formerly lda.senate.gov). Search registrations and quarterly reports by client, lobbying firm, lobbyist, issue text, issue code, year or posting date, and get the money reported, the bills and issues lobbied on, the lobbyists (with former government jobs) and the agencies contacted. A second mode returns LD-203 political contribution reports. No key needed.

Contributions mode returns registrant, lobbyist, contribution type, contributor, payee, honoree, amount and date.
Common uses
- Tracking who lobbies on a bill, tariff or agency, and how much they spend each quarter
- Company and sector research: lobbying spend as a policy-risk signal
- Journalism and compliance checks on lobbyists' former government roles and political giving
