Sound familiar?
What teams that plan in Notion and live in Google Calendar tell us before a project starts.
- I plan content in Notion and then re-enter every date in my calendar.
- I moved an event and Notion still shows the old day.
- The calendar view in Notion can't show my team's shared calendar.
- Sync tools I tried made two copies of every event.
- Deadlines in Notion don't remind anyone because they aren't on a calendar.
What we build
Each one is a working piece you can open and check when it's done.
Properties to event fields
Title, date range, owner, location and notes in a Notion database map to the event title, time, guests and description, with the calendar chosen by a property such as team or project.
Notion and Airtable systems Google Sheets and Apps Script automationTwo-way changes with a clear winner
We agree which side wins when both change, and store the event id in Notion so a moved or deleted event updates the same item and never creates a copy.
API integrations and data sync n8n, Make and Zapier automationRecurring events, all-day items and time zones
Repeating items, all-day dates, date ranges and users in different time zones are handled by written rules, so an event does not drift by a day.
Python scripts and utilitiesAlerts when an item fails
A missing date, a calendar you lack access to or a rate limit sends the Notion page link and cause to email or Slack, and is retried once repaired.
n8n, Make and Zapier automationBackfill of existing dates
Dated items already in Notion are matched to events already on the calendar, and unclear matches are listed for you to decide before anything is created.
ETL and data pipelines Python scripts and utilitiesCheck report and notes
A weekly check lists items without events and events without items, and notes explain the properties so you can add a database yourself.
Dashboards and reporting Notion and Airtable systemsThe two tools: Notion, google-calendar.
Also connected on request: Notion, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Slack, Gmail.
Example projects
Illustrations of the shape of the work, not past clients. Yours gets its own written scope.
Example project
Content calendar for a small studio
Example: a design studio plans posts in a Notion database and wants each publish date on a shared Google Calendar, moved when the date changes in Notion.
Notion API, Google Calendar API, scheduled jobExample project
Project milestones for a builder
Example: a renovation contractor lists milestones in Notion and wants them on the crew's calendars, with the site address in the event.
Notion, Google Calendar, Slack alertsExample project
Tutor schedule
Example: a private tutor tracks lessons in Notion and wants each one on Google Calendar with a reminder, and a cancelled lesson cleared from both.
Notion webhooks, Google Calendar, Google Apps ScriptQuestions people ask first
Isn't there already a native connector or app for this?
Notion Calendar works with Google Calendar, and several sync tools exist. For basic viewing they can be enough. We check yours first. If it fits, we set it up. If you need your own rules for who wins a change, duplicates or alerts, we build around it.
Will it change events we already have?
Only in the ways agreed. Existing events are matched first and left alone unless you approve a change.
Who owns what you build?
You do. It runs in your own Notion and Google accounts, with notes on how to change it.
How do we start?
Show us the Notion database and tell us which calendar its dates belong on. We reply with questions or a written scope.
Tell us what you need built.
Email a few lines about what you want and which tools you use, or call. We reply with questions or a written scope.
