Sound familiar?
What food trucks tell us before a project starts.
- Event and catering requests land in DMs, email and text, and some get answered days later.
- We post our location every morning by hand on three accounts.
- Preorders come in by message and we write them on a paper pad.
- Prep for a festival is guessed from last year and we run out or waste food.
- Sales and fees from the card reader get sorted out once a month, if at all.
What we build
Each one is a working piece you can open and check when it's done.
Event inquiry and booking
One request form with date, headcount and location, a same-day reply, a hold on the calendar, and a deposit link once you say yes.
Booking and scheduling systems Stripe integration and billingDaily location post
The schedule kept in one sheet, with the day's stop posted to your social accounts and website from it.
n8n, Make and Zapier automation Google Sheets and Apps Script automationPreorders for pickup
A preorder form with a cut-off, a pickup time per customer, and a single list for the window.
Web apps and MVPs n8n, Make and Zapier automationPrep list from the schedule
Expected covers by stop and menu mix turned into a prep and stock list you can check before loading the truck.
Google Sheets and Apps Script automation Python scripts and utilitiesSales and fees to the books
Daily card sales, tips and processor fees summarised by location and posted to the accounting tool.
QuickBooks, Xero and HubSpot integrationsWhich stops pay
Sales by stop, day and event on one page, so the schedule follows what earns.
Dashboards and reportingFood trucks software we work with: Square, Toast, Clover, Shopify.
And the general tools around it: QuickBooks, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Stripe, Twilio, Zapier, Make.
Example projects
Illustrations of the shape of the work, not past clients. Yours gets its own written scope.
Example project
Catering request to deposit
Example: a truck owner gets event requests by DM. A form collects the date and headcount, the owner approves a quote, and a deposit link goes out and holds the date on the calendar.
Form, Google Calendar, StripeExample project
Where we are today
Example: a truck keeps its weekly stops in a sheet. Each morning the stop, hours and map link are posted to the website and social accounts without retyping.
Google Sheets, Apps Script, social postingExample project
Festival prep sheet
Example: for a three-day festival, the owner enters expected covers and gets a prep and stock list by day, adjusted from the previous day's sales.
Google Sheets, sales exportQuestions people ask first
We only have a card reader and a phone. Is that enough?
Yes. Most card readers export sales or connect to other tools, and a phone is all anyone on the truck needs for a form or a text.
Who owns what you build?
You do. It is built in your own accounts, and you get notes on how it works so your team can change it without us.
Can customers order without an app?
Yes. A simple web link they open from your social page is enough, no app to download.
